The Open Islamic Finance Learning website (www.openislamicfinancelearning.com) was a great opportunity for us to work with one of the most well developed theme’s we’ve encountered thus far. We needed a flexible base to create something from the ground up, using a theme that wouldn’t dictate too much to us in terms of layout and general structure. We customised the Salutation Theme for the clients needs, rebranded it and built a layout which suites their content using the theme’s sophisticated layout and template builders.

The Salutation theme gave us a really great base t work with and restyle, and though we haven’t exhausted the capabilities of the theme, it definitely provided exactly what our client needed. The Salutation theme is based on HTML5 and comes with BuddyPress integration. When our client is ready we can quickly turn this site into a fully fledged social network where members can register, create groups, participate in forums and generally interact with other members.

The layout building tools & shortcodes built in gave some the ability to create a clean yet varied layout with a few extra touches when we needed it.

The Sidebar maker helped by allowing us to create and insert additional widget areas anywhere we wanted using shortcodes. And with the help of our favourite form builder Gravity forms we created a subscription for which integrates with email mailing list software to assist in building a database for email and newsletter communication.

And Last but definitely not least, the really well styles shortcode options, especially the blog listing ones helped us setup a Homepage of our choosing, with exactly the contents we wanted in a fraction of the time needed to do so by coding this from scratch. All in all we’re really impressed with this theme and how it helped us provide a quick and styling solution for our client at a fraction of the cost and time usually associated with developing layouts from scratch.
